| 06.16.2009: Missions Teams Off to the Missions Field | |
Saturday, June 20th a large group of church members are heading off to two separate short term mission fields.
The larger team, led by Ron Bellomy is heading to Orlando, FL to be a part of the One Heart Many Hands event that takes place every four years at General Assembly. They will participate in the LARGEST Work and Witness event of the year. They will get a chance to actively live out their faith in the community of Orlando by serving the needs of the city and its citizens.
The second team is a one man representative of our congregation going to India to participate with the NorCal NYI Delegation for the General NYI Convention. Pastor Robbie has joined the team of Northern California NYI Delegates to represent our district in Mumbai, India for the General NYI Convention. While there he will be exposed to a new culture, but he will also get to see our brothers and sisters in Christ and in the Church of the Nazarene in a land far away.
We should find ourselves in prayer over these two teams as they are our representatives on the missions field. We have supported many of them financially; now let us make sure that they have a proper covering of prayer!
